After evaluating several options and considerable deliberation, the OAPT Board has decided to hold our annual Fiscal Officer Training Program and Maintenance Program In-person this June. One of the unique aspects of the program are the relationships that are built when attending in-person. Relationships that become career and life-long professional contacts and personal friends.
We believe that anyone that wants to be vaccinated will have the opportunity to do so well before June. Also, the Kalahari has and continues to adhere to all of the state safety guidelines related to COVID-19. They have assured us that the facility is safe, they are booking events in larger rooms to accommodate distancing requirements, and they are cleaning conference areas more frequently. The Kalahari has sanitizing stations throughout the facility and they will also require current mask protocols in effect in June. We believe the Kalahari will provide a safe venue for us to gather together, yet safely distanced.
Details
As mentioned, we will once again be at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center for our Finance Officer Training or Maintenance programs. Our negotiated room block rate is $124/night, which includes 4 waterpark passes, free parking and free Wi-Fi. The agenda is loaded with great topics and speakers, and you will be able to earn CPEs, CPIMs, CPFAs, ACPFAs, and CLEs, and many of these hours also apply towards your Fiscal Officer Integrity Act requirements.
Approved Credits
- CPE 38.4 for the week/14.4 maintenance
- CLE 26 for the week/10 maintenance
- ACPFA 5 for the week/5 maintenance
- CPFA 17 for the week/6 maintenance
Credits submitted and awaiting final approval
- CPIM 27 for the week/11 maintenance
We plan on having several appropriately socially-distanced networking opportunities throughout the week to help you establish professional contacts and to have some fun with friends.
