Ohio Council of County Officials
The Ohio Council of County Officials (OCCO) invites you to a Legislative Reception. Representatives from other OCCO member organizations will be in attendance as well as many members of the 132nd Ohio General Assembly. Also, we are hopeful that some of our statewide office holders will attend.
OCCO is an organization that strives to unite the associations representing county elected officials and judges, in order to promote sound, efficient and fiscally responsible government. It serves as a forum to provide information about issues of importance to county elected officials and allows members the opportunity to work together on legislative issues of mutual concern.
We hope you will join OCCO for this Reception/Open House on Tuesday, February 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Statehouse Atrium in Columbus.
County officials need to continually communicate and build partnerships with members of the General Assembly. The OCCO encourages you to invite your state senators and state representatives to the reception. While you are in Columbus that day, please schedule appointments with them to discuss issues of importance to your county or attend a Senate or House session. Don’t miss this important opportunity to lobby the Ohio General Assembly.
We strongly encourage you to travel to Columbus on February 13 to physically show your support for your lawmakers, who will be looking to see if anyone from their districts made the effort to attend this important event.
We request the courtesy of an RSVP by February 9. Click here for more information and to register online. Contact Mary Jane Neiman, CCAO Public Relations Associate, at 614/220-7979 or 888/757-1904 ext. 302 if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you there.
